I enjoy traveling, dining at great restaurants and indulging in relaxing spa treatments - very expensive hobbies! I consider myself well-traveled and a good judge when it comes to the finer things in life.

Body by Brooklyn
I agree with SpaING on this review - you would never guess that such a nice spa would be found in the heart of Brooklyn by the look of the outside. As they say never judge a book by its cover. I enjoyed a nice manicure and pedicure here during a business trip.

Beauty Essentials
I checked out the spa during St. Patricks Day weekend and opted for a mud wrap which was ok. Upon entering the spa I was not too impressed with the decor. Their website also shows an ugly sofa as their main image which I think should be changed to something more pleasant.

Glow Spa
The prices here are simply unbelievable. One of my colleagues visited the spa and for an hour treatment at only $45 she experienced the "Absolute Pearl Illuminating Oxiginating Facial Treatment". Afterward, her face felt like she had spent big bucks on microdermabrasion.

La Reserve Spa Geneva
Warm up your senses after a day of skiing in the Swiss Alps and enjoy a few hours of ecstasy at this majestic destination. The Swiss are known for their cleanliness and attention to detail, which you’ll experience firsthand the second you arrive at La Reserve. Bathe in Algae or get a weight loss massage made from Brazilian coffee cream - whatever you choose, all your thoughts are likely to fade away. The contemporary feng shui-styled hotel rooms offered here will also make for a nice nightcap.

The Spa at Château Élan
It has been a while since I visited this spa but I remember thinking that it was average. I indulged in a regular massage and left feeling a little more relaxed. The resort itself is a bit of a rip-off - The Holiday Inn Express across the street from the resort boasted nice rooms and plush bedding.

Spa at Barnsley Gardens
Although the spa itself was pretty good, I was not so impressed with the staff at the hotel who acted a little superior to the guests. The salt water pool was very nice which I enjoyed after their famous "Woodlands Shell Walnut Body Polish".

The Spa at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation
I recently visited the Ritz Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation by accident. I was not aware of any additional Ritz Carlton properties outside of Atlanta, so while the men played golf I enjoyed a "Crystal Rain Shower with Creme Wrap" and immediately felt the tension float away. Afterward I sat outside and took in the beautiful lake-view.
Jolie Atlanta
Something that truly shines here is the friendly staff - I always knew people from Georgia were extremely hospitable, but here at Jolie Spa, I really felt! The Thai Massage and the Jolie Signature facial were simply heaven! I had no idea this place existed before and was glad that I gave it a chance. I tried referring a friend to the spa but she had trouble finding an online treatment menu and website. Great hidden jem-of-a-spa!

Planet Hollywood Spa by Mandara
Mandara Spa is best known for its skin-therapy treatments. "La-therapy Hydra-lift Facial" and the "Elemis Urban Cleanse For Men" and the "Ionithermie Cellulite treatment" are three of the best things Mandara offers! Make sure to ask what products they use to take purchase at the store! Sign up for a pool-side yoga, usually taught in the morning and put those muscles to work!

The Bathhouse
Of course the swanky THEhotel at Mandalay Bay would have an equally trendy spa! Take the elevator up to this posh spot and get away from all the madness of Vegas! As soon as you get off the elevator, first thing that stands out is the dark grey velvet walls that surround you - very unique. Like the name suggests - the baths here are truly relaxing - you don't even really need to experience a treatment. Tip to the locals - Mon-Thurs Nevada natives receive 15% off their treatment!

Spa Luana
I just read about this spa from Gayot who gave rave reviews. The Coffee Bean and Macadamia Nut Scrub will wake tired bodies and minds. Let your muscles do the relaxing while getting an ocean-side massage - its very hard to stay awake as the melodic waves fill your ears. After the treatment, spend some alone-time in one of the outdoor cabanas and read a book, drink tea or take a nap!

Spa Olakino
Located at the Waikiki Beach Marriott, this truly is a spa that deserved a "Top 10" status! Using ingredients like volcanish ash, Kona coffee, fresh papaya and pineapple - treatments are unique and worthy! Part of the highly-rewarded Paul Brown group, Spa Olakina pampers guests above and beyond any normal spa soothing your mind, body and skin. The Sun Soothing facial is perfect for dehydrated skin nourishing it with aloe, cucumber and green tea! Worth a visit!

Spa Moana & Salon
I had a friend who recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Maui and enjoyed the "Double Your Pleasure" massage in which two therapists work in tandem massaging one guest (the name does sound a bit rude..) She says it was a fantastic massage and left feeling like her body was made of rubber! She also received a "Deep Conditioning Scalp Treatment" from the spa right after!

One Spa at Shutters on the Beach
This place is truly amazing! Feel like a true "Princess Bride" with the "As-you-wish massage", where you can choose the scent you want (Eucaliptus,Mint or Rosemary), the type of massage (Deep-tissue, Swedish or Pregnancy) and the length that suits you! The hotel is beautiful and the staff extremely accomodating! I recommend taking a long weekend at the Shutters Beach!

LakeHouse Spa
My best friend absolutely loved this place! She had read that Conde Naste voted the LakeHouse Spa as the "#1 Destination Spa" in the US and decided to give it a try. She went for soemthing she had never experienced before- a Hari Japanese Healing treatment while her boyfriend opted for a MANicure and MANmade facial - both of which he enjoyed a lot. The suites at the resort are cozy and comfortable and the dining options are great! Perfect for weekend getaway!

Ten Thousand Waves
Although I didn't personally visit this fabulous spa - I have heard the rave reviews from my mother for two weeks straight after her out-of-this-world spa experience. The Ten Thousand Waves Spa will make you feel like you have taken a weekend to Japan as you relax in your kimono-style bathrobe and enjoy the serenity of nature. The Japanese Film Night is a very cool event to check out!

Red Door Spa
If you don't mind spending a little more cash than at your average day spa then Red Door Spa is the place for you. I have very dry skin at times - after my facial, my face felt like it did when i was a kid, soft and fully nourished. The staff is very friendly and pay attention to every single detail. Some packages come with a complimentary eyebrow wax and make-up application which makes up for the costly service!

Paris Spa by Mandara
Pretty good spa. I would recommend paying the $25 for access to the fitness center, whirlpool, steam room and sauna instead of paying full-price for a spa treatment. If you do feel like indulging in a Balinese spa service go for the IONITHERMIE - a new anti-cellulite treatment that helps reduce the appearance of every woman's worst nightmare. Overall this is an average spa for me!

Exhale - Santa Monica
Just like the name implies - exhaling is exactly what you will be doing at this great spa located in Santa Monica. The estheticians and massage therapists are some of the best in the country and you will leave here feeling ten pounds lighter. I enjoyed the ocean view from the yoga and fitness room and followed this experience with a hot stone massage and facial. Very cool place!

Blue MedSpa
The first thing you notice upon entering the Blue Med Spa in Midtown in Atlanta is how clean the place is. The friendly staff greets you and offers you something refreshing to drink before you head in to put on your robe. Say goodbye to that annoying cellulite that likes to linger with Cellulite Bootcamp or Smart Lip. Blue Med Spa is more than just your average spa!
