Abuo the hotel - Located on Maui's Kaanapali Beach, the Hyatt Regency Maui overlooks 40 beachfront acres. The enormous property has more than 800 rooms and suites, all with lanais (Hawaiian for porch or balcony). The grounds have ponds stocked with koi, and there's a wildlife staff just to tend to a variety of resident exotic birds. The half-acre, free-form pool is another striking feature, open 24 hours a day. Camp Hyatt provides daily activities for children between age five and 12, so parents can have free time to view the hotel's $3 million art collection, go to a luau, or visit the spa. Hawaiian-inspired treatments are available at the Spa Moana. There's also a fitness center and tennis courts, plus golf at the adjacent Kaanapali Golf Course. Special services available to honeymooners include keepsake photo albums, a complimentary bottle of champagne, and an invitation to a weekly Honeymooners' Reception. The resort hosts weddings, and meeting space is available.
